Is 2023 Your Year to Lose Your Excess Weight for the Last Time?

     If you’re among the many women who have been losing and gaining the same 10, 20, or 50 pounds year after year, consider this your invitation to make this the year you stop your yo-yo dieting forever.  Give yourself the gift of no longer needing to diet, count calories, points, or macros, or spend a lot of time thinking about food and planning what to eat.  Make 2023 the year that all the clothing in your closet finally fits and you cross "lose weight" off your resolution list for the last time. 

      Rather than starting the same or new iteration of a diet you've followed numerous times (without lasting success), or trying a new pill, shot, or drink, consider changing your mindset instead. When you successfully change how you think about food and eating, you won’t feel deprived or succumb to cravings or emotional eating.  When you learn to eat intentionally and pay attention to your hunger and satiety signals while also learning to feel and handle your emotions without food, maintaining a normal weight will become easy.

     Prioritize yourself and your health this year.  Just as you do when you’re on an airplane and need to put on your oxygen first before putting it on others, you need to care for yourself so that you can care for the others in your life.  Make 2023 the year you take massive action and solve your weight issues for the last time. There is no time like the present to start, and you'll be making a long-term investment in yourself.
