Why Use Self-Hypnosis?

Mar 18, 2023

Today, I'm going to talk about why you might want to try self-hypnosis. I’ve been amazed at what self-hypnosis (or focusing your mind) can do. For myself, self-hypnosis has helped me to handle food cravings easily. I’ve trained my brain to visualize something other than what I crave, and this has decreased my urges for certain foods – even when those foods are right in front of me. Clients I’ve coached have been helped with overeating, increasing confidence, procrastination, anxiety, and habit changes.

I'm currently also working with some volunteers who want to sleep better.  I've been using self-hypnosis to sleep better, and I am very impressed with how it works. Email me ([email protected]) or DM me if you're interested in hypnosis for sleep.

Self-hypnosis and learning how to change the mind's focus and help handle anxiety.  Anxiety is when you worry about something that might happen. Anxiety is actually a form of self-hypnosis because you have convinced yourself of some catastrophe happening by repeating the same thoughts to yourself frequently. Many techniques can lessen anxiety by replacing those anxious thoughts and feelings with more helpful emotions.  Using hypnosis and other tools, I can help you to create new brain pathways to lessen your anxiety.

I use various techniques when coaching; everyone responds to these tools differently.  You can make desired changes when you learn to use methods that resonate with your mind.  Rapid changes may happen when you tap into your feelings using self-hypnosis and bypass your rational thoughts.  Even if the changes take a while, with practice, these techniques will help form new pathways in your brain, leading you to make permanent changes.

If you coach with me, I will teach you techniques to use at home to reinforce what you have done in the sessions.  Ultimately, I want you to be able to make changes for yourself.  Problems or habits that have been present for a long time may change more slowly – but change will occur.  Hypnosis is not scary or creepy.  You will not do anything you do not want to, and you’re always aware of what is happening around you.  Once you learn these tools, you can easily apply them to other areas of your life.
